Obituary of Joan Link

Bedford Joan Link, 81, of Bedford died at 1:14 pm on Monday, December 16, 2013 at Stonebridge Health Campus. Born June 11, 1932 in Terre Haute, she was the daughter of Harry and Helen (Baker) Hedley. She married Fred W. Link on January 26, 1952 and he survives. Joan was a librarian at Columbus East High School and a long distance telephone operator. She was a member of the First Assembly of God. Survivors include her husband, Fred of Bedford; a daughter, Lana LaGrange and husband, John of Bedford; a son, Bruce Link of Crossville, TN; four grandchildren, Michael LaGrange, Stephanie Link, Heather Motley and Brian LaGrange; a sister, Martha Shaw of Dawsonville, GA; two great grandchildren, Adelyn LaGrange and Landon Motley; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, two grandsons, Bent LaGrange and Steven Link; a brother, Harry Hedley; a sister, Margaret Meighen. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, December 19th at the First Assembly of God in Bedford with Pastors Glenn Duncan and Bill McKee officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, December 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
