Obituary of Dewey Helton

Bedford Dewey Helton, 78, of Fayetteville-Coxton Road, Williams, died at 9:30 am on Tuesday, April 12, 2005 at his residence. Born May 29, 1926 in Orange Co., he was the son of Charles Dewey and Maree (Taylor) Helton. He married Beulah Nicholson on January 31, 1947 and she survives. He was a retired welder and enjoyed fishing, mushroom and ginsing hunting with his son-in-laws and grandsons. Surviving with his wife, Beulah are two daughters, Marie Pruett and her husband, Harley of Williams and Linda Todd and her husband, Jim of Bedford; one brother, Duane Helton and his wife, Donna of Owensburg; six grandchildren, Danny Pruett, Roxi Robinson, Lenny Pruett, Kenny Todd, Bill Todd and Jill Todd; one nephew, Jim Helton and thirteen great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents, one niece, Claudia Bex and one granddaughter, Kimberly Todd. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, April 14th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Merla Craig officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 13th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
