Avoca – June I.O. Liles, 89, of Avoca, passed away at 6:10 pm, on Saturday, July 2, 2022, at her residence.

Born March 22, 1933, in Muncie, IN, she was the daughter of Clarence W. and Naomi O. (Bryant) Thompson. She married Jessie Liles on November 21, 1975, and he preceded her in death on February 11, 2007. She retired as an electrical engineer from NWSC Crane. She was a member of the Avoca Baptist Church and Silver Sneakers.

Survivors include her children, Joe Liles, of Avoca, Bobby Joe Richardson, of Bloomfield, Beverly Stalcup, of Greenwood, Jessica Dawn Orman and Leonard William Richardson, of Muncie; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; a sister, Toni Dillingham, of Dugger. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a son, Billy Gene Richardson and several brothers and sisters.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Sunday, July 10th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in the Solsberry Cemetery. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Saturday, July 9th and from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Sunday, July 10th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
