Obituary of Lois Jean Baker
Bedford Lois Jean Baker, 79, of Bedford, died at 7:56 pm on Wednesday, February 14, 2007 at the Hospitality House in Bedford.
Born April 12, 1927 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Hubert and Pearl (Eggers) Craig. She married A. Wayne Baker on October 18, 1947 and he died July 31, 1999. She was the manager of the Diana Shop Clothing Store in Bedford for over thirty-two years. She was a member of the Dive Christian Church and Beta Sigma Phi Sorority.
Survivors include two sisters, Lavella Foddrill of Bedford, Pam Neeley and her husband, Ron of Heltonville; one brother-in-law, Roy Baker of Bedford; six nieces, Sherry Baker and her companion, Charlie Lancaster, Kammi Norton and her husband, Brad, Bobbi Wigley and her husband, Troy, Patty Martin and her husband, Mike, Donna Holler and her husband, Dave, Sondra Hubbard and her husband, David; several great and great great nieces and nephews; several cousins; her caregivers, Laura Plachy, Tammy Randolph and Sharon Davis. She was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, one brother, Kenneth Paul Craig, one sister, Marcella Baker and one brother-in-law, Albert Foddrill. Funeral Information
Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Monday, February 19th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Phil McDonald officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, February 18th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
