Obituary of Marva Jean Lewis

Bedford Marva Jean Lewis, 77, a resident of Core Nursing Home in Bedford, died at 10:10 pm on Thursday, April 22, 2004 at her residence in Bedford. Born February 10, 1927 in Bedford, she was the daughter of Leland and Bessie (Hackler) Goodin. She married Robert D. Lewis on July 24, 1943 and he preceded her in death on April 8, 2001. She had worked a M. Fine & Sons and was a member of the First Church of God in Bedford. Survivors include two sons, Jan Lewis of Paoli and Jerry Lewis of Kalamazoo, MI; one daughter, Marlyn Parker of Plainfield; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; one great great grandchild; one brother, James Goodin and two sisters, Helen Clancy and Dorothy Norris. She was preceded in death by her parents and husband. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, April 26th from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm on Sunday, April 25th and from 9:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, April 26th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
