Obituary of Joy E. Griffith

Joy Elaine (Stech) Griffith, 76, of Bedford, Indiana passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021. Joy was born on March 16, 1945 to Gerald and Evelyn (Clevenger) Stech, both deceased. she graduated in 1963 from Huntington Township High School in Huntington, Indiana, where she played clarinet in the high school band. She was an active 4-H member who continued to enjoy crafting, sewing, and crocheting throughout her life. Joy attended the King's College of Briarcliff Manor, New York, and tutored students in Harlem. On Valentine's Day, 1965, she married Michael Lee Griffith, her high school sweetheart. She was a homemaker who deeply loved her family. Joy was a devoted Christian Believer with a patient and generous heart. Joy is survived by her husband, Mike; their children, Todd Griffith, of South Whitley, IN, Eric (Michelle) Griffith, of Crane, IN and Jodi (Peter) Petretta, of Charles Town, West Virginia. She is also survived by her sister, Joan Terrell, of Auburn, Alabama and her brother, Glenn Stech, of Kimmell, IN. A celebration of Joy's life is planned for 2:00 pm on March 26, 2022 at her church, Taabernacle of Praise, 1381 U.S. Highway 50 East, Bedford, Indiana
