Obituary of Rose Marie Stodola

Rose Marie Stodola was born on a snowy winter morning in Omaha Nebraska on February 24, 1947 to Rudolph Anton and Mary Magdalene (Kuklinski) Stodola. She had three brothers, Rudolph Edward, Mitchell Robert, and Richard Dennis Stodola. She had one sister, Annette Kathleen Johnston. When she was 3 years old, she and her family moved to Gardena, California, and then eventually to La Mirada, California. She graduated from La Mirada High School in 1965, after which she attended junior college and began a career as a key punch operator at TRW in Redondo Beach, California. A few years later she changed careers and became a beautician, a life that brought her joy. rose loved to bake, macrame, crochet, and listen to music. But above all else, she had a passion for the Pacific Ocean, and spent many a happy hour walking and sun bathing on the sand by the Redondo Beach pier. She died January 27, 2010 in Los Angeles, California on a sunny winter's day. She is greatly missed. Her remains were brought to Bedford Indiana by her brother, and she is buried in Mitchell, Indiana Cemetery.
