Bedford – Kenneth Dale “Punk” Martin, 77, of Bedford, passed away at 2:43 pm on Tuesday, February 22, 2022, at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis.

Born August 26, 1944, in Bedford, he was the son of James Lloyd and Helen (Speer) Martin. He married Nancy East and she survives. He was a forklift operator at General Motors and a member of Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army.

Survivors include his wife, Nancy, of Bedford; a daughter, Melessa Garcia and husband, Antolin, of Bedford; a son, Kenneth Dale Martin, II and wife, Aimee, of Bedford; eleven grandchildren, Dylan Parsley and wife, Emma, Jacob Martin, Kaitlyn Martin and Dalton, Abby Parsley, Levi Martin and fiancé Jeslyn, Alexandria Rizzi and husband, Nick, Christopher Prado, Brooke Martin, Hillary Prado, Sarah Prado, and James Kenneth Martin; great-granddaughter, Callie; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Sharon Rose.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Saturday, February 26th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Pleasant Run Cemetery with military rites accorded. Visitation will be from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, February 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary where a Masonic service will be conducted at 7:30 pm and from 10:00 am until the service hour on Saturday at the mortuary.
