Bedford – Kenneth W. Arthur, of Bedford, passed away at 11:27 pm on Thursday, February 3, 2022, at Stonebridge Health Campus.

Born August 5, 1934, he was the son of Orville “Buck” and Gleeda (Medlock) Arthur. He married Alma M. Sasser on August 2, 1952, and she preceded him in death on March 1, 2014. He worked at St. Mary of the Woods College, then as distribution center manager for Elder Beerman Department Store. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army and a member of the Oolitic Trinity Pentecostal Church.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Jeanne Depenbrok and husband, Steve of Arizona, Melissa Hassler and husband, Don, Adam Sasser and wife, Dana, Scott Sasser and wife, Robin, and Billy Don Arthur all of Bedford; great nieces and nephews, Angel Hawkins and husband, Heath and their daughter, Lilly, Tanner Summers and John Wolff, Zach and Isaiah Sasser, Brooke Ritz, and Sadie Sasser; a brother-in-law, Alben Sasser and wife, Jonna, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, a sister, Barbara C. Turner; brothers, Richard, and Bill Arthur; a sister-in-law, Betty Goodman and nieces, Tracy Wolff, and Renee Summers.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, February 8th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in the Hilltop Cemetery in Avoca.
