Obituary of Amanda Phillips Schoolcraft

Springville – Amanda Phillips Schoolcraft, 70, of Springville, passed away at 2:57 pm on Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. She was born July 13, 1951, to Juanita (Lee) and Frank Phillips. Amanda is survived by her husband, Thomas Schoolcraft, her children, Michael Evans, of Springville, Tony (Carrie) Evans, of Ellettsville, Chris (Monica) Evans, of Bloomington, and Mary (Matt) Taflinger, of Orleans; her step-children, Thomas (Regina) Schoolcraft, Troy (Brittany) Schoolcraft, and Mindy (John) Schultz, all of Bedford; her brother, Larry (Linda) Phillips, of Springville. She was the proud grandmother to fifteen grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren; Amanda was preceded in death by her parents, her infant son, Roger Lee Evans; her brother, Jackie Lee Phillips, and her sister, Angela Cowell. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 18th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Steve Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Owensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
