Obituary of Doris V. Wykoff

Bedford – Doris V. Wykoff, 97, of Bedford, passed away Wednesday, November 10, 2021. Born September 15, 1924, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Edward Ross and Vina (Clendenon) Owen. She married Dudley Wykoff, Jr. on May 22, 1948, and he preceded her in death on June 9, 2015. She was an office worker at Wykoff Brothers Paint Store and a member of the First Christian Church. Survivors include a daughter, Pat Bennett, of Bedford and children, Amber Kay and husband, Johnny, Aaron Collier and wife, Kirsten, J. Lynn Lanier and husband, John; a son, Dudley Wykoff, III and wife, Sandy, of Mitchell, and their children, Dee Wykoff and wife, Robin, Trent Wykoff and wife, Sara, Jessica Wykoff, thirteen great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, and a brother, William Owen. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm, on Monday, November 15th at the First Christian Church with Tim Thompson officiating. Burial will follow in the Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon to 5:00 pm on Sunday, November 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary and from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, November 15th at the church.
