Obituary of Jane Lois Collins

Bedford- Jane Lois Collins, 92, of Bedford, died at her residence on Sunday, October 3rd in Bedford. Born October 8, 1928 in London, KY, she was the daughter of Brack Whittaker and Artha (Boggs). She married Elmer Collins on December 26, 1954 and he preceded her in death in January, 2000. She worked at M Fine and Sons as a seamstress. She was a member of the Midtown Church of Christ. Survivors include her children, Judy Borden of Bedford, Terry Collins (Sandy) of Bedford, Peggy Craig (Tom) of Bedford, Glenn Collins (Caren) of Spencer, Dennis Collins of Bedford, Gary Collins of Bloomington; seven grandchildren; twelve great grandchildren; twelve great-great grandchildren; one brother, Boyd Whittaker (Sharon) of KY; two sisters, Mary Webster of Lexington, KY and Dorothy Onkst (Virgil) of London, KY. She was preceded by her husband; parents; two brothers, Andrew Yaden and Isaac B. Whittaker. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 6th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Brack Whittaker officiating. Burial will follow in Dive Cemetery.
