Obituary of Agnes Delores Vaught

Bedford – Agnes Delores Vaught, 90, of Bedford, died at 12:18 am on Friday, September 24, 2021, at White River Lodge. Born July 14, 1931, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Lloyd and Clara (Strunk) Turpin. She married Dave Vaught and he preceded her in death in 1972. She had worked at RCA and Travelers and was a member of the Friendly Bible Church. Survivors include a son, Davey Vaught, of Bedford; a granddaughter, Melissa Beard, of Bloomington; a great-granddaughter, Chesley Taylor Beard; a sister, Brenda Canada and husband, Jim, of Bedford; a brother, Randy Turpin and wife, Diana, of Bedford; a niece, Deanna Lumpe and husband, Steve, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two brothers, Tom and Jim Turpin and step-father, George Thompson. Funeral services will be conducted at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, September 29th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Tim Jenkins officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Wednesday, September 29th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
