Obituary of Freeman Lee
Bedford Freeman Lee, 87, of 2202 J Street, Bedford, died at 2:15 pm on Friday, December 31, 2004 at the Dunn Memorial Hospital.
Born January 5, 1917 in Oolitic, he was the son of Abner and Allie (Miller) Lee. He married Mavis Hardwick and she survives. He was an ordinance man at NSWC CRANE, a veteran of WW II serving with the Army Air Force and a member of the Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
Surviving with his wife, Mavis, is one son, Freeman W. Lee, Jr. of Florida; one sister, June Hatfield of Bedford; seven grandchildren, Terri Dixon of Bedford, Randy Lee of Bedford, Jon Lee of Florida, Sherlynn Rach of Bedford, Lori Rigger of Oolitic, Alex and Patrick Lee of Florida; sixteen great grandchildren; eleven great great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Frieda Ennis and Flossie Sears and three brothers, Fred, Floyd and Farrell Lee. Funeral Information
Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, January 5th at the Cresthaven Memory Gardens with Pastor Alan Reed officiating. Burial will follow. Friends may call from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, January 4th and from 9:00 am until 10:30 am on Wednesday, January 5th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
