Lois Maxine Parsley, 88 of Owensburg, died at 1:48 pm on Friday, September 17, 2021, at IU Health Bedford.

Born December 8, 1932, in Greene County, she was the daughter of Dwight and Helen (Perkins) Craig. She married Edward Parsley on March 6, 1949, and he survives. Maxine was a member of Owensburg Baptist Church.

Survivors include her husband Edward of Owensburg; children, Wilma Thurman (Steve) of Bloomfield, Darwin Parsley (Gloria) of Springville, Kathy Harper (Roger) of Springville, Kevin Parsley (Jane) of Springville, Jill Hays (Andy) of Owensburg; twenty grandchildren; Karen Inman, Neal Fielder, Chris Fielder, Kent Fielder, Caleb Thurman, Ben Sherfield, Cora Sherfield, Jeff Parsley, Corey Harper, Craig Harper, Katherine Kinser, Nick Parsley, Korisha Tillet, Justin Parsley, Dustin Parsley, Dustin Workman, Derek Workman, Amanda McPike, Alissa Hays, Amy Wilkerson; forty six great grandchildren; fourteen great-great grandchildren; and one brother, Donnie Craig of Bloomington. She was preceded in death by her parents; five brothers, Leland, Robert, Doyle, John and Roy Craig; two sisters, Mary Jean Chin and Betty Young; and two grandchildren, Kristen and Kayla Parsley.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Duane Terry officiating. Burial will follow in Owensburg Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Monday, September 20th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
