Obituary of Sherri Lea Bartlett

Bloomington-Sherri Lea Bartlett, 64, of Bedford passed away Wednesday, September 8, 2021, at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born October 24, 1956, in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Frank and Mary (Parsley) Girdley. She married Jerry Don Bartlett on July 28, 1990, and he preceded her in death on August 22, 2021. She retired from the United States Postal Services as a Rural Mail Carrier. She attended Guthrie Creek Christian Church. Sherri enjoyed road trips and gardening and loved spending time with her grandchildren. Survivors include two daughters, Keesha (Chuck) Presser, and Hannah Hudson all of Bedford; a son, Lucas (Mickeynze) Bartlett of Bedford; six grandchildren, Lane, Kinslee, and Kase Hudson, Kiya Bartlett, Paige and Parker Presser; two sisters, Rita Key of Bedford, and Marsha Girdley of Owensburg; a brother-in-law, Dale Caswell of Springville. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, two sisters, Tammi Caswell and Brenda Girdley, a brother in infancy Mark Girdley, a nephew, Travis Caswell, and a brother-in-law, Marshall Key. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, September 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Dennis Parsley officiating. Burial will follow in the Bartlettsville Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Tuesday, September 14th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
