She believed in the value of hard work and had been a waitress and a volunteer for Dunn Hospital Pink Ladies for many years. She was an avid bowler and Euchre player. Above all she was strongly devoted to her family and church. Mae gave her all to everything she did and always had a smile and kind word for everyone. Survivors include a son, Richard “Gene” (Rhonda) Myers of Kentucky, Cynthia (Jack) Pennington of Bedford and Dena (Charlie) Payne of North Carolina. Grandchildren, Seth Myers of Kentucky, Michael (Sandy) Pennington of Tennessee, Diana (Joey) Stewart of Bedford, great grandchildren Alissa Myers of Florida, Matthew Myers of Kentucky, Micayla (Zach) Swazay of North Carolina, Ethan Pennington of Tennessee and Katie and Evan Stewart of Bedford and sister-in-law, Ann Speakman of Linton.
