Obituary of Jenny M. Henderson

Jenny M. Henderson, 79, of Bedford, died at 8:44 am on Saturday, August 7, 2021, at IU Health Hospice House. Born October 13, 1941, in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Vaughn and Mary (Ditton) Bowden. She married Robert Dale Henderson and he preceded her in death. Jenny retired from Dunn Memorial Hospital after working twenty- seven years. She was a member of Dive Christian Church. Survivors include two sons, Robert Scott Henderson of Bedford, Brian Henderson and partner Roger Wedig of San Diego, CA; two daughters, Kelly Holder and husband Paul of Winston Salem, NC, Dawn Simmons and husband Chuck of Silverville; two sisters, Linda Ellis and husband Eddie of Orleans, Marilyn Walters and husband Paul of Muncie; one brother, Donnie Bowden and wife Judy of Orleans; three grandsons, Christopher Holder and wife Bethany of TN,, Caleb Blackerby and Joshua Blackerby, both of Mitchell; one granddaughter, Rachel Holder of Virginia; one great granddaughter, Ellie Rose. She was preceded in death by her parents, one sister, Gail Bowden, and one brother, Michael Bowden. Graveside services will be conducted at 12:30 pm on Monday, August 9th at Dive Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 am until 12 noon on Monday, August 9th at Day & Carter Mortuary. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the American Heart Association.
