Obituary of Lee Etta Wade Collins

Bedford – Lee Etta Wade Collins, 81, of Bedford, passed away at 7:50 pm on Monday, July 12, 2021, at her residence. Born May 21, 1940, she was the daughter of Herbert and Vivian (Hall) Brinson. She married Paul Wade on September 15, 1956, and he preceded her in death in 2009. She married William Stanley Collins on August 20, 2011, and he survives. She was a retired line worker for RCA Thomson. She was a member of the Oolitic Trinity Pentecostal Church. Survivors include her husband, William, of Bedford; two sons, Leroy Wade, of Bedford and Jerry Wade and wife, Kim, of Mitchell; a daughter, Pam Melvin and husband, Randy, of Judah; six grandchildren, Krista, Jason, Angela, William, Dana, and Heather; six great grandchildren, Anna, Lia, Amelia, Elijah, Arianna, and Knox. She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Paul, a sister, Sue Carol Brinson, and three brothers, Al, Ronnie, and Charles Brinson. Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, July 16th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bro. Marty Speer officiating. Burial will follow in Hilltop Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Thursday, July 15th and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Friday, July 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
