Obituary of Brenda S. Patton

Mitchell – Brenda S. Patton, 72, of Mitchell, passed away at 4:00 p.m. on Monday, June 21, 2021, at her residence. Born June 11, 1949, she was the daughter of Doyne C. and Iva Mae (Collier) Jones. She married Phil Melton and later married Bobby Patton. She was an assembly worker at GE. Survivors include a daughter, Adonica Grissom and husband, Billy, of Mitchell; two grandsons, Josh Grissom, of Bloomington and Ethan Grissom and Macy Graves, of Mitchell. She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Doyne E. Jones. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, June 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in the Dixon Chapel/Proctor Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Friday, June 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
