Obituary of Rickie Lee Jones

Springville-Rickie Lee Jones, 74, of Springville died at 8:30 pm on Thursday, June 3, 2021 at his residence. Born March 17,1947 in Springville he was the son of Oscar Edgar and Helen Gertrude (Flynn) Jones. He had worked on the bridge crew for CSX for over 30 years. He married Mona Lisa Conner on July 29, 1978 and she survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army serving during the Vietnam War. He had attended Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church. Survivors include his wife, Mona of Springville; a daughter, Treva Peckham and husband William of Bloomington; a son, Kevin Jones of Springville; seven grandchildren: Jonathon Bean, Monica Irene Jones, Christian A. Peckham, Khloe Jones, Grace Ann Peckham, Conner Ryan Jones, and Zachary Alan Jones; a brother, Lonnie Jones. He was preceded in death by his parents, two sons: Steven Wayne Jones, and Rickie Alan Jones; a grandson, Steven Michael Jones; three brothers: Eddie, Tommie, and Jimmie Jones. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00pm on Monday, June 7th at the Tunnel Hill Pentecostal Church with Pastor Justin Berger officiating. Burial will follow in the Clover Hill Cemetery. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of the American Legion Gillen Post #33. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, June 7th at the Tunnel Hill Church.
