Obituary of James Weinert

Bedford- James Weinert, 79, of Bedford, died at his residence Saturday morning, May 22nd. Born September 14, 1941 in Dayton, OH, he was the son of Paul Weinert and Helen (Pontious) Weinert. He married Corrinne Thorpe on December 25, 1963 and she survives. He was a veteran of the U.S. Army. He was an Electronics Technician for PTS where he retired. Survivors include his wife Corrinne, of Bedford; daughter Caroline Phillips and husband Lucas, of Carey, OH; two grandchildren, Isabel and Morgan Phillips, both of Carey, OH; one sister, Naomi Weinert and wife Cindy Turvy, of Columbus, OH; three brothers, Howard Weinert and wife Martha, of Huber Heights, OH, Donald Weinert and wife Barbara, of Akron, OH, and William “Bill” Weinert and wife Karen, of Dayton, OH; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded by his parents and one sister, Lois Windon. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, May 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Williams officiating. Visitation will be from 1 p.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the mortuary. Burial will be held in Ramey Cemetery in Lyon County, Kentucky on Wednesday.
