Williams- Mable L. Day, 86, of Williams, died on Tuesday morning at StoneBridge Health Campus in Bedford.

Born February 6, 1935 in Perry County, Indiana, she was the daughter of Charles Barringer and Lula McKim, raised by her mother and Laban Roberts. She graduated from Oolitic High School. She married Jackie D. “Jack” Day on December 13, 1957 and he preceded her in death on January 23, 2016. She was a homemaker and a member of the Old Union Christian Church.

Survivors include two sons, Ronnie Day and wife Julie, of Williams and Mark Day and wife Melissa, of Heltonville; five granddaughters, Nikki Hawkins and husband Weston, of Bloomfield, Whitney Fleetwood and husband Jordan, of Heltonville, Dena Day, of Williams, Bailey Day, of Heltonville, and Jamie Sipes and husband Evan, of Scottsburg; two great-granddaughters, Adelyn Day and Dakota Hawkins; four great-grandsons, Dayton Hawkins, Dallas Hawkins, Hudson Fleetwood and Jasper Sipes. She was preceded in death by her parents, and her husband Jack.

Funeral Services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, May 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. Memorial contributions may be made to Bertha’s Mission.
