Obituary of Wesley Wray
Bedford-Wesley “Wess” Wray, 72, of Bedford died at 5:54 pm on Friday, April 9, 2021 at the I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.
Born June 25, 1948 in Oolitic, IN, he was the son of Elisha “Bud” and Desda (Silvers) Wray. He retired from NSWC Crane as a railroad engineer. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving during the Vietnam War, he served as past commander for the VFW Post #1686 and was also a member of the American Legion Gillen Post #33.
Survivors include: his love and longtime companion, Beverly Noel; his children: Jimmy Goodman and wife Sara of Mitchell, Brent Goodman of Bedford, Jenny Wray Smith and husband Bryan of Bedford, Brad Noel and wife Joni of Bloomington, and Brian Noel and wife Beth of Indianapolis; 14 grandchildren: Dravan Smith, Branson Goodman and wife Rebecca, Carlye Goodman and her fiancé Alan Tarver, Carson Goodman, Carmyn Goodman, Carrigan Goodman, Carha Goodman, Malakai Goodman, Eion Noel, Toby Noel, Addison Noel, Avery Noel, Cloe Noel, and Sophie Noel; 6 great grandchildren: Rowen Goodman, Avery Goodman, Sophia Roach, Theo Tarver, Adrian Tarver, and Aaron Tarver; two sisters, Pamela (Wray) Kinser of Bloomington, Terri (Wray) Blackwell-Trottier of Fishers; six nieces and nephews, Jared Trisler, Kevin Trisler, Jacke Blackwell, Logan Blackwell, Lori Kinser, and Terri Kinser. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson, Jonas Noel.
Following his wishes cremation was chosen and a family memorial service will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers the family asks that friends consider memorial contributions be made to the VFW-Limestone Post #1686.
