Obituary of Esther Lawmaster

Bedford Esther Lawmaster, 91, of Bedford, passed away from this life at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 2, 2012. The oldest daughter of John B. and Alma (Mullis) Spinks, she was born in Bloomfield, IN. She graduated from Bedford High School in 1939 and Indiana Business College in Indianapolis. She worked for the U.S. government in Dayton, OH, Baltimore, MD and at the Pentagon in Washington, DC during WW II. She worked at Citizens National Bank for thirty years as a bookkeeper. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford for seventy-three years. During retirement, she was an avid walker, enjoyed quilting, scrapbooking, greeting people on their birthdays. Preceding her in death are her parents, sisters, Jane Callahan, Anna Gobert and her brother, Harold Spinks of Florida. Survivors include sons, Larry Lawmaster (Marti) of Wixom, MI and Richard Lawmaster (Kathy) of Bloomington, IN; four grandchildren and six great grandchildren. Funeral Information Memorial services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Wednesday, June 6, 2012 at the First Baptist Church in Bedford, IN by Pastor Kregg Burris.
