Words cannot describe the way I feel about losing my best friend Charlene. I guess Jesus must have needed her more than we did here on earth. I will always remember her as someone I could trust to tell me the truth whether I liked it or not, her awesome hugs, her stories about traveling with mom and dad to Alaska and out West, she loved my kids Jake & Heidi, and even babysat my dog Sammy sometimes. I'm going to miss you my friend. I know the past year we didn't get to see each other much, but the love was always there. Give my daddy and your daddy a kiss for me. Until me meet again my friend....

Prayin God will give you His peace.

Hi Jim,
Bonnie and I are so sorry to hear about the loss of Charlene. She would always talk about going to Oolitic to take care of mom and daddy as she was always there when they needed her.
I can still hear her laughing and shaking her head when things got a little out of control in the "seniors" area. I would always explain that none of it was my fault as Donnie, Ray, and Bob were out of control and it was me who would bring some decorum back into the organization. She would just roll her eyes and start stapling things because, as you may or may not know, she always told me that when she ran out of staples, she would retire. Boy, did I hear a lot of stapling some days!
Char was always a pleasure to work with and keep in touch with and I will miss her a lot.

I feel as if I could write a book on all the memories I have of my friend, Charlene. And then, on the other hand, there are no words.
Charlene's passing has hit me hard, as I know it has for everyone who knew her. She was such a giving person. She made each of us feel as if we were her best friend. In my deepest darkest hours, she was there for me. Providing support, advice, a shoulder to cry on, and most of all ~ love.
I'll miss you my friend.
I bet you're already in heaven cutting out hexies!

Charlene, Lois, Jim and Bootsey were considered family to all who knew Charlene. She loved life and people, but little Bootsey held a special place in her heart. Bootsey misses her so much, and grieves in his own way. Everyone who knew Charlene loved her and will miss her. We have lots of special memories of Charlene that will live on forever. See you on the other side, Dear Charlene.

Lois, Jim & Family:
I was so sorry to hear of Charlene's passing at such a young age. I had not seen her for years, but I'm sure she would have talked my leg off if I'd had the chance to see her. She was always so funny. I "babysat" her when she was about ten years old, and I was only seventeen at the time myself. She made me laugh a lot. I'm very sorry for your loss and pray God will give you comfort and peace. Love & Hugs, Joyce Jeffries
