Obituary of Troy Alan Nicholson

Bedford – Troy Alan Nicholson, 51, of Bedford, passed away at 3:38 pm on Wednesday, December 16, 2020 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital. Born February 27, 1969 in Bedford, he was the son of Brenda Kay (LaMar) Patton. He graduated from Bedford North Lawrence High School with the class of 1988. He married Wendy Goerres on October 13, 2000 and she survives. Survivors include his wife, Wendy; mother, Brenda, of Virginia; his grandmother, Ruth Elizabeth Hash, of Bedford; two half-brothers, William Franklin Miller, III, of Virginia and Sandi Johnathan Miller, of Orange Co; Aunts, Nancy Love, Connie Pace, Sandra Prince, Vickey Cummings; great-uncles, Cecil Pemberton, Matthew Pemberton; great-aunt Francis New. He was preceded in death by his grandfather, Paul Patton and great grandfather Emmitt Patton. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. on Tuesday December 22nd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastors Steve Holloway and Russell Tidd officiating. Burial will follow in the Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12 p.m. until the hour of service on Tuesday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
