Obituary of Derrike M. Barksdale

Derrike M. Barksdale, 24, of Bedford, passed away on December 10, 2020. Born November 5, 1996, in Bedford, he was the son of Troy and Stacey (Stogdill) Barksdale. He was formerly employed with WF Meyers. He was a member of the UAW Local 440. Survivors include his parents, Troy and Stacey Barksdale of Oolitic; one daughter, Ambriel Barksdale; one sister, Troi Dawn Stith and husband John of Bedford; grandparents, Mike and Faye Chestnut of Oolitic, and Jerry and Faye Barksdale of Bedford; and one nephew Oliver. Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, December 15th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Reno Bates officiating. Burial will follow in Patton Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the hour of service on Tuesday, December 15th at Day & Carter Mortuary.
