Obituary of Jacque D. Bailey

Bedford – Jacque D. Bailey, 84, of Bedford, passed away Sunday, August 16, 2020. Born September 6, 1935 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Emmett and Dorothy (Taylor) Beyers. She was a sales and stockroom clerk for J.C. Penney Co. She was a member of the Bedford Free Methodist Church where she was active with the Merry Widows. Survivors include a son, Douglas Bailey, of California; a sister, Kay Whitaker and husband, Dennis, of Bedford; a niece, Hilary Whitaker, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents. Funeral services will be conducted at 3:00 pm on Thursday, August 20th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Reed Beard officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 12:00 noon until the hour of service on Thursday at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
