Obituary of Josephine Ellen George

Bedford-Josephine Ellen George, 99, of Williams died at 10:20 pm on Saturday, August 1, 2020 at the Westview Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Born August 18, 1920 in Martin County, IN, she was the daughter of Ira and Melinda Ellen (McCall) Webster. She married Louie D. George on June 6, 1936 and he preceded her in death on January 15, 2003. She was a member of the First Baptist Church of Williams and had been a member of the Williams Homemakers Club for over 50 years. She worked 3 years at the Williams School in the cafeteria. Survivors include one grandson, Michael Grissom and his wife Jane of Bedford; three great grandchildren: Joey Hicks and his wife Kim of Bedford, Amanda Green and her husband Chris of Bedford, and John Grissom of Bedford; two great great grandchildren: Gavin Green and Addie Hicks. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, her daughter, Patty Grissom, a granddaughter, Vicky Hicks, five sisters, and five brothers. Graveside services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, August 5th at Cresthaven Memory Gardens with Rev. Tom East officiating. Burial will follow.
