Obituary of Tamara R. Gilbert

Tamara R. Gilbert, 52, of Bedford, died at her residence Sunday morning April 26, 2020 after her courageous battle with breast cancer. Born October 31, 1967 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Dennis Gardner and Judy Arthur Gardner. She was a registered nurse and had worked at St. Vincent Dunn Hospital in Bedford and for Caregiver Homes in Bloomington. She was married to Shelly Gilbert and she survives. Survivors include her wife Shelly Gilbert, of Bedford; one son, Camden Spinks and his wife Stephani, of Bedford; two grandchildren, Curtis Mathews and Averi Spinks; one sister Kimberly Young, of Bedford. She was preceded in death by her parents. There will be a memorial gathering at Park Place Church of God on Sunday June 14th at 2 p.m. A dedication at the tree garden at 4 p.m. that day, and the gathering will go on until 5 p.m. Memorial Contributions may be made to the Lawrence County Cancer Patient Services.
