Holding your family close to my heart and praying that you all can find a little peace and comfort knowing Derek is resting easy in the Kingdom of God. Sweet Braylie- I’m so sorry you are having to endure this kind of heartache at such a young age. I know that no words can bring you the comfort you need and that we all want to give you but I hope that you can find a little glimmer of peace knowing that your daddy is right by your side protecting you and watching over you every step of the way. Derek has been my best friend for 25 years. He was there to greet me at the airport when I came back from deployment. We were there at both our daughters birth. He also made you laugh, loved his friends and family so much. My favorite part apart Derek is knowing where he is at today. While I miss him very much, it brings me much joy to know he’s in heaven. Love you buddy, until we see each other again.

Derek was such a good dude... I haven’t seen him in years but when I did he had that big smile on his face and could make u laugh... we had some good times back in high school and the years after... the world lost one of the good ones that’s for sure... Rest In Peace man... u will be missed by many...
