Obituary of Delmar S. Axsom

Bedford, Delmar S. Axsom, 66, of 2497 Middle Leesville Road in Bedford, died at 11:00 am on Friday, May 19th, at his residence. Born on April 8, 1940 in Jackson County, he was the son of Eathel and Elsie (Croucher) Axsom. He married Dolly Howell on September 30, 1965 and she survives. He was a factory and Limestone worker. He was a veteran serving in the U.S. Army and a member of the Leesville Methodist Church. Surviving is his wife, Dolly of Bedford, two brothers: Kelsie Axsom of Norman and Kermith Axsom of Bloomington, two sisters: Loberta Fleetwood of Bedford and Loretta Fields of Paris Crossing, IN, several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers: Kenny and Howard Axsom and one in infancy. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Tuesday, May 23rd, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Bishop Neal McCory officiating. Burial will follow in Dixon Chapel. Military rites will be accorded at the graveside by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion. Friends may call from 4:00 pm until 8:00 pm on Monday, May 22nd, at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
