Obituary of Tommy Lee Furlow

Tommy Lee Furlow was born on May 20, 1939, to Booker T and Fannie Mae (Sledge) Furlow in Dell, Arkansas. Tommy was married to Viola (Vines) Furlow on November 23, 1966. Tommy was really big on family and would do anything for his wife, children, brothers, sisters, nephews, nieces, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Tommy attended school in Dell Arkansas. He moved to Chicago, Illinois where he worked at Union Tank Car Company then later he worked at Chicago Transit Authority (CTA). He retired from CTA and moved to Bedford, Indiana. He decided that retirement was not for him and opened Family Detailing a local car wash service. Tommy joined the church at an early age. He was an active member of Second Missionary Baptist Church. Tommy was a Deacon at the church and remained active until his health no longer allowed him to. Tommy took great pride in making sure that Communion Sunday was done. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents Booker T and Fannie Mae Furlow, his sister Willie Mae Lawshea, Savanah Sneed, Johhnie Barnes, his brothers TC Furlow, James Furlow, LC Furlow, One daughter Darlene Furlow, and one grandson Titus Holiness Tommy leaves to cherish his memory his wife Viola Furlow, five sons Rommie Johnson( Patricia), Dean Furlow, Robert Furlow, Marlon Smith and Tommy Furlow, eight daughters Wana Justice (Robert), Paula Lofton (LaRue), Juanita Holiness(John), Victoria Furlow, Debra Holiness, Gloria Graham (Lagarian), Bernadette, and Beverly. One sister Dorothy Blair, five brothers, Burton Furlow (Althea), Oliver Furlow (Valarie), Samuel Furlow, Billy(Maxine), and Booker Jr. One special Nephew Steve Furlow, twenty-two grandchildren Chevelle, La-conta, Germayel, Jerome, Jamie, Monique, Paris, LaRue, Anthony, Johnny, Antione, Marcellus, Antoinette, Ollie, Johnathan, Jehaun, Yves, Nicholes, Davante, Nolan, Charles, and Braelin, forty one great grandchildren, and one great-great granddaughter Abigail Selders. Three brothers-in-law and five sisters-in-law. A special cousin Janice Pendagrass, a special Niece Mariah Scott, A host of nephews, nieces, cousins and other family members. One close friend Ronald Wells
