Obituary of Steven Mark Butcher

Fayetteville – Steven Mark Butcher, 48, of Fayetteville, passed away at 1:36 pm on Sunday, January 12, 2020 at his residence. Born May 12, 1971 in Germany, he was the son of Herman L. Butcher. He was a veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps where he proudly served his country in Iraq from 2005 to 2006. He was an explosives handler at Crane Naval Depot. Survivors include his father, Herman L. Butcher; three brothers, Tim Butcher, of Bedford, Brandon Butcher and Tyler Butcher both of Bloomington; a sister, Erica Butcher, of Bloomington; his fiancé, Kelly Lewis, of Bedford. He was preceded in death by a brother, Christopher. Visitation will be from 1:00 pm to 3:00 pm on Thursday, January 16th at the Day & Carter Mortuary with military rites conducted at 3:00 pm at the mortuary by members of Gillen Post #33 American Legion.
