Obituary of Constance Sue Crane

Oolitic – Constance Sue Crane, 74, of Oolitic, passed away at 8:07 am on Tuesday, December 17, 2019 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital. Born May 18, 1945 in Lawrence Co., she was the daughter of Charles F. and Goldie A. (Boofer) Browning. She married Robert Crane and he preceded her in death on December 2, 1991. She retired as a die cast operator and inspector for General Motors and was a member of U.A.W. Local #440. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and friend who loved to cook for everyone. She loved her family and friends unconditionally. Survivors include her three sons, Robert Burton Crane, Jr. and wife, Kimberly Sue, of Seymour, Rodney B. Crane and wife, Jessi Ashley, of Oolitic, Rudie Crane and wife, Rita Marie, of Bedford; thirteen grandchildren, Brooke Crane Gomez (Fredo), Dr. Kelsey Crane (Jayson Warden) of Starkville, MS, Tiffany Crane Dalton (Kyle), of Bedford, Tangy Crane Spreen (Eric), of Williams, Reed Crane, of Oolitic, Gage Crane, of TX, Cristen Crane, of Seymour, Finley Crane, of Oolitic, Seanna Gonzales, of Bedford, Selena Gonzales, of Bloomington, Maria Orozco, of Bedford, Ryan Crane, of Seymour, Sgt. Robert Crane (Breanna), of Clarksville, TN; fifteen great grandchildren, Irye Gomez, Layla Gomez, Cruz Gomez, Max Warden, Grant Dalton, Grady Dalton, Chloe Spreen, Ben Spreen, Ty Spreen, Ryder Crane, Lennox Terrell, Lasiah Terrell, Todd Crane, Callen Crane, Avalyn Crane. She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, a daughter, Sylvia Crane; a grandson, Eli Crane; brothers, Bill, Jack, Donald, Paul, Roger, Tyrone, and Thomas Browning; sisters, Florence Parrish, Ruth Owens, Becky Davis, Clydia Rigsby, and Helen Browning. Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Saturday, December 21st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Millard Jones officiating. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Memory Gardens. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, December 20th at the Day & Carter Mortuary. A celebration of life and dinner will take place starting at 4:00 p.m. Saturday at The Depot in downtown Bedford. Friends and family are welcome.
