Obituary of Michael S. Bailey, Jr.

Bedford – Michael S. Bailey, Jr., 43, of Bedford, died at 10:30 am on Monday, November 11, 2019 at I.U. Health Bedford Hospital.

Born September 19, 1976 in Lawrence Co., he was the son of Michael S. Bailey, Sr. and Linda (Robbins) Nicholson. He worked in quality control for RTB-Rehab Construction. Michael loved fishing, playing guitar, and being outdoors. He was very artistic and loved helping people. He was proud of his kids and loved spending time with them.

Survivors include his mother and step-father, Linda and David Nicholson, of Bedford; his father, Michael S. Bailey, Sr., of Bedford; three children, Bryanna and Willow Bailey, and Zaryn Daugherty; a brother, Travis Bailey, of Bedford; step-brother, Tony Nicholson and wife, Lori, of Fayetteville; step-sister, Yvonne Doane, of Bloomington; nieces and nephews, Drew Bailey, Salena Bailey, Jaydelyn McCain, Alex Nicholson, Macee Nicholson, and Meagan McClain; his spiritual mother, Monda Girgis, of Bedford; his paternal grandmother, Patricia Botts, of Texas; several aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members. He was preceded in death by his maternal grandparents, Charlie and Mary Robbins; his paternal grandfather, Fred Bailey, and his cousin, Greg Berry, who he considered a brother.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, November 14th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Jeff Nikirk officiating. Burial will follow in Green Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, November 13th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
