Obituary of Steven Eugene Reed

Springville-Steven Eugene Reed 52, of Springville died Sunday, October 27, 2019 at his residence.

Born August 18, 1967 in Bedford, IN he was the son of Paul and Mary (Spaulding) Reed. He married Yvonne Owings on May 22, 1992 and she survives.  He had worked for NSWC Crane and had been a welder for J.F. Menzia.  He loved spending time with his family, especially his children and grandchildren. His hobbies included drag racing, motocross racing and Dallas Cowboys football.

Survivors include his wife, Yvonne of Springville, his mother Mary Beasley and husband, Kerry, of Bedford; four children: Rodney Smith and wife Andrea, of Heltonville, Amanda Curren and husband J.R., of Springville, Stephanie Saunders and husband Brandon, of Bloomington, Holly East and husband Stephen, of Bedford; eleven grandchildren: Joe Smith and wife Rachelle, Logan and Jase Smith, Kelsei and Drew Keith, Reise VanDeventer, Walker, Shayln, and Paislee Saunders, and Adalyn and Eloise East; one great grandchild, Waylen Smith; two sisters: Tracy Brown and husband Gary , and Amy Kennedy; one brother, Adam Reed and wife Amy; several nieces and nephews.  He was preceded in death by his father, a daughter, Diana Reed, and one brother Jason Reed, and a niece, Alora Reed. 

Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Thursday, October 31^st in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Father Rick Eldred officiating. Burial will follow in White River Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Wednesday, October 30^th at the Day & Carter Mortuary where a rosary service will be at 7:30 pm.
