Obituary of Mark Samuel Roberts

Owensburg – Mark Samuel Roberts, 55, of Owensburg, died Thursday, October 17, 2019 at I.U. Health Bloomington Hospital.

Born February 28, 1964 in Bedford, he was the son of Elmer A. and Barbara J. (Carter) Roberts. Mark was an avid sports fan. He especially enjoyed watching NASCAR and I.U. basketball. He graduated from Eastern Greene High School. He worked for many years at R and B Construction Co. of Franklin, IN. Mark was known by many customers in the community that visited Roberts Station in Owensburg which he managed for many years. Mark enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. He will be sadly missed by his two sons, one sister, one brother and several nieces and nephews.

Survivors include two sons, Gary and Victor Roberts, of Bedford; a brother, Kyle Roberts and companion, Trudy Hammond, of Bedford; a sister, Deanna Gaye Jacob, of Bloomfield. He was preceded in death by his parents.  

Graveside services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Thursday, October 24^th at Kentucky Ridge Cemetery in Greene County with Jay Collins officiating. No visitation is scheduled. Family and friends may express condolences at www.daycarter.com.
