Obituary of Danny Hunter

Heltonville – Danny (Honky) Hunter, 72, of Heltonville, died Wednesday, August 14, 2019 at his residence.

Born December 27, 1946, the son of Hubert and Pearl (Wade) Hunter. He married Leah Jane (Evans) Cummings on March 6, 1998 and she survives. He retired from General Motors in 1996 and was a member of the Mundell Christian Church. He loved farming and was a member of the Polled Hereford Association.

Survivors include his wife, Janie, of Heltonville; a daughter, Beth Hughes and husband, Derek, of Pekin, IN; a son, Brad Hunter and wife, Jami, of Bedford; three step-sons, Brad Cummings and wife, Carol, Jamie Cummings and wife, Lori, Matt Cummings and wife, Becky all of Bedford; five grandkids, Matthew Hunter, of Cullman, AL, Allison Kern, of Indianapolis, Brandon Kern, of Chicago, IL, Jackson Hunter, and Levi Hunter both of Bedford; eighteen step-grandkids and one step-great-grandson; a sister, Patty Atchison and husband, Marvin, of Bedford; Mason and Graham George, his neighbors who he loved like his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his parents, his first wife, Toni Rae Huffman and a son, Gregory Scott Hunter.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Monday, August 19th at the Mundell Christian Church with Pastor John Wisley officiating. Burial will follow in Mundell Cemetery. Visitation will be from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Sunday, August 18th at the Mundell Christian Church and from 10:00 am until the hour of service on Monday, August 19th at the church.
