The family and friends of Marvin are in Jackie's and my thoughts and prayers. Despite his nickname, it was always a pleasure to be around Marvin. I have many fond memories of working with Marvin while with the ISP.

Dear family, I am very sorry for your loss. I hope your hearts find some comfort as ours have during our losses by the promise that God " will swallow up death forever, and will wipe the tears from all faces." (Isaiah 25:8) He cares deeply about you and your pain and gives us the hope of seeing our loved ones again - Acts 24:15. My sincere condolences to you all.

I was so sorry to see that Marvin had passed away. My family lived across the street from Art and Nora when I was a teenager, and I have such good memories of them. Even his grandmother lived across the street and i would visit with her often. Micky was a few years older than me, so I always thought he was so cool.
My sincere condolences to the family.

I just want to say how sorry I am for your loss. I know this is a hard time for everyone. My father John Elmore Sr. passed away, well it's been a year now. But I wanted to say that my dad spoke highly of Marvin, and my mom did too. He will be missed. If there is anything we can do please call, our number is in the book. We're sorry to hear this.

Family, sorry for your loss. Marvin gave me a couple of tickets in my younger days. People always complained how cops were just mean to people. Marvin was ALWAYS kind and thoughtful when i got stopped. I worked for the Crawford Morris Labor Company in the late 70's & early 80's. I pretty sure i delivered materials to him. He laughed and shook his head when he noticed the slick/cord showing on the truck i had to deliver in. I'm not sure if HE called them and if so i never got to "thank" him but the next day that old junk delivery truck had new/newer tires on it! God will Bless him and God Bless the family.

I spent 12 years with you at Sellersburg. We didn't always agree, but you were a good friend, a good post commander and a great representative or our dept. I will miss you grumpiness and your laugh. You always surprised me by being able to know when to say something and when to just be quiet and let things go. I will miss you very much. Thank you for being my friend.

Rest in peace Marvin. I do not remember when I first met him. I think it was in the 1970s either at the Coal Strikes, the 500, or State Fair. But, for several years we worked the State Fair. He was a good man and a good trooper. Tom Davidson PE 2345.

Marvin had the best smile and sense of humor. He rescued me from the side of the interstate once when I was young. He was an awesome guy and my father's good friend. My condolences.

I will never forget the fun moments when I worked at Bonnie’s Restaurant in Henryville, babysitting for Jeff when he was a little bitty guy, and the times he took me horseback riding.

So many memories, the quest to find the perfect Harley shirt for Marvin, Marvin bouncing my son, Donavan, on his feet for many years, the excitement Marvin had going to the band concerts that Donavan was in, Marvin haggling Jessica and giving her such a hard time, the Holidays, the time Marvin took me for a ride on his Harley. and so many other fond memories. But what I will remember the most is how happy he made my Mom and how much he loved Rosie, "his dog" as I would say.
