Obituary of Paul L. Stevens

Bedford – Paul L. Stevens, 85, of Bedford, died Tuesday, May 14, 2019 at Stonebridge Health Campus.

Born January 2, 1934 in Bedford, he was the son of William E. (Bob) and Susie A. (Weyer) Stevens. He married Suella Root on January 30, 1953 and she survives. He retired from Sears in Bloomington after thirty-six years and was a member of the Englewood Baptist Church and Bedford Masonic Lodge #14 F & AM.

Surviving with his wife, Suella are three daughters, Linnea Skeen and husband, Jack, Dana Osborn and husband, Scott, and Karen Deckard and husband, Kenneth, Jr. all of Bedford; four grandsons, Keith Deckard and wife, Kimber, Kevin Deckard, Justin Osborn, and Jacob Osborn; great grandchildren, Londyn and Harper Deckard; a sister, Violet Cummings, of Bedford; several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, and two brothers, Ralph and James Stevens.

Funeral services will be conducted at 1:00 pm on Saturday, May 18^th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor David Ferry officiating. Burial will follow in Beech Grove Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, May 17^th and from 11 am until the hour of service on Saturday, May 18^th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
