Obituary of Dexter Eugene Morrow

  Dexter Eugene Morrow “Eugene” 60 of Oolitic Indiana passed away March 19, 2019, at 4:27 a.m. surrounded by his wife and children.

Born May 22, 1958, in Lawrence County. The son of Eulas and Chloa Morrow. He married Donna Anderson in 1975, and she survives. Together they built a family of seven children, 26 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren, and 3 more expected this year.

    He was a tool designer, machinist, and a small business owner. He enjoyed woodworking, metal work, and watching IU and the Colts play but most importantly he valued time with his family above all.

Survivors include his wife Donna Morrow (Oolitic) of 46 years, his seven children Carrie and Josh Tolliver (Oolitic), Brandon and Michelle Morrow (Whitestown), Amber Morrow (Oolitic), Rebecca Morrow (Bedford), Cody and Whitney Morrow (Orleans), Fawna and Andrew Myers (Bedford), Ben and Tara Morrow (Bedford), 26 grandchildren, 4 great grandchildren and 3 more expected this year. His mother Chloa Morrow, sister Carolyn Morrow, brother Michael Morrow, father and mother-in-law Frank and Brenda Poore, brother-in-law James Poore, sister-in-law Chris Edwards and several nieces and nephews. In his family there are several bonus grandchildren and lifelong adopted family members including Chris George, Karly Terrell, Brian Lake, Katrina Craig, Tonya Frye, Jeremy Mullis, Heath Ray, and Nathan Martin.

He was preceded in death by his father Eulas Morrow, his brothers Delmer and Darrell Morrow, sister Lucinda Horne, brother-in-law Brad Poore, and his grandson Brady Morrow.

Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 23rd in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Bob Phillips officiating. Burial will follow in Springville Cemetery West. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm on Friday, March 22nd and from 1:00 pm until the hour of service on Saturday, March 23rd at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
