I met Laura (at that time, it was "Lori" to me and many others) in photography class at BNL at the end of my freshman year. For a few years we were thick as thieves and had the best of times together...we put A LOT of miles on the white convertible driving to and from Bedford/Bloomington. Unfortunately we drifted apart and never really got to reconnect. I always admired her tenacity and free spirit. She definitely had many adventures in her time here, and I'm sorry that time was cut so short.

It was With a lot of sadness that I received the news that Laura had fallen asleep for good. I have known Laura since her teenage years, but have stayed in touch ever since. Laura was such a good aunt for my Three children, and they often talked about the quality person that she was for them - all the way till the end. It fills me With such gratitude towards her to just know that. Laura will be greatly missed, and we all mourn her passing away so early in life. Her adventurous spirit and kind, pure heart will always be a vivid memory of Laura. I am richer in life because Your path crossed that of mine Laura. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

Laura is an amazing person. She was always smiling, joyful, didn't want anything negative around her. She kept things relaxed, fun and free spirited. I always admired the way she choose to live her life, she was truly free. She was loved by everyone she met. My heart goes out to all the lives she touched, we have all lost a bright light in this world with her passing. I pray we all keep some of what Laura taught us by her life in our own lives. Fly high, relax, cry when you need to but be joyful. I will not forget the life she lived. Much love to her family.
