Obituary of Joan Ford Kirkman

Bedford Joan Ford Kirkman, 75, of Brighton, MI, formerly of Bedford, passed on September 19, 2010 at her residence at the Caretel Inns of Brighton in Brighton, MI. Born April 6, 1935, she was the daughter of Opal and Mary (Stafford) Ford. She was retired from the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts as Executive Assistant to the Executive Director. She was a member of the First Baptist Church in Bedford. Survivors include two sons, Gregory Brent and wife, Josephine, and Timothy Brent and wife, Jennifer; four grandchildren, Sarah, Spencer, Madelyn and Elizabeth; three brothers, Ken, Bill and Paul E. and one sister, Jane. She was preceded in death by her parents, brother, Morris Robert and husband, Robert. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 pm on Saturday, September 25th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Dr. Kregg Burris officiating. Burial will follow in the Gilgal Cemetery in Heltonville. Visitation will be from 12:30 pm until the hour of service on Saturday, September 25th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
