Obituary of Annetta Ruth Kirkman

Bedford, Annetta Ruth Kirkman, 90, of 202004 Plaza Drive in Bedford, died at 2:44 am on Saturday, June 17th, at the Dunn Memorial Hospital. Born on February 18, 1916 in Lawrence County, she was the daughter of Larence and Mary (Robertson) England. She married Orville Paul Kirkman on April 29, 1933 and he died in April of 1994. She was a member of the Davis Memorial Church of the Nazarene for over 50 years where she and her husband sang gospel music for revivals all over the county and was a member of the Senior Bowling League in Bedford. Surviving are four sons: Dennis Kirkman and his wife, Carol of Springville, Ross Kirkman and his wife, Jeannie of Greencastle, Larence (Bud) Kirkman and his wife, Patty and David Kirkman and his wife, Iris, all of Springville, one daughter: Janna Combs of Greensboro, N.C., one sister: Zelda Ramsey of Springville, one brother: Larry England of Springville, eleven grandchildren: Tim, Terry, Jerry, Jon, Steve, Holly, Shelly, Melissa, Jody, Joshua and Julie, twelve great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one grandchild: Tammi, five brothers: Cloval, Lester, Leon, Chester and Louie England, one sister: June Franklin and one son-in-law: Bill Combs. Funeral Information Funeral services will be conducted at 10:00 am on Wednesday, June 21st, from the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Rev. Mark Thompson officiating.
