Obituary of Larry Ray Crulo

Avoca – Larry Ray Crulo, 78, of Avoca, died Sunday, December 2, 2018 at his residence.

Born March 19, 1940 in Lawrence County, he was the son of Howard Ray and Eva Mae (Houpt) Crulo. He married Linda (Morron), on June 27, 1987 and she survives. He was a graduate of Needmore High School Class of 1958. After graduation he worked with his mom, Eva Mae, managing Crulo Trucking Company from 1958-1982. He worked for Rogers Group for eighteen years, and Hanna Trucking until retirement. He loved to go fishing and hunting. He enjoyed IU basketball and other sports. He enjoyed frying fish for the Oolitic Kiwanis. Larry definitely loved his family. He was a member of Crossroads Community Church. He was also a member of the Bedford Masonic Lodge, No 14, F.&A.M. where he was Past Master in 1981 and the Scottish Rite.

Survivors include his wife Linda Crulo; four daughters, Kelly Mynett and husband Rob of Muncie, Sally Summerville and husband Travis of Bedford, Kathy (Scott Zipp) Crulo of Bedford, Karen (Jason Webb) Crulo of Bedford; one sister, Linda Richardson and husband Ed of Arevoca, AZ; one brother, Phil Crulo and wife Rosie of Avoca; step-daughters, Lisa Sego and husband Stan of Bedford, Tonya Williams and husband Tim of Mitchell; grandchildren, Jessie Wyman and husband Jeremy of Muncie, J.T. Ernst, Nick Crulo, Sam Crulo, Allie Crulo-Rood, Gracie Crulo-Rood, Jake Jackson, Sara Jackson, and Addy Summerville all of Bedford, Nate and wife Jennifer Mynett, Angie and husband Rocky Brown, all of Muncie; step-grandchildren, Kylie Sego, Keragan Sego, Nelson Scudder, and Garrett Scudder all of Bedford; three step great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Bobby Crulo.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Friday, December 7th in the Elmwood Chapel of the Day & Carter Mortuary with Pastor Lyndon Hopkins officiating, and Karen Crulo with the eulogy. Burial will follow in Cresthaven Cemetery. Pallbearers will be, Nick Crulo, Sam Crulo, J.T. Ernst, Jake Jackson, Rob Mynett, and Travis Summerville.  Visitation will be from 4:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, December 6th at the Day & Carter Mortuary.
