Bud will be dearly missed by all!
I was present one Saturday morning at Holt's when someone said to their little granddaughter this is the gentleman that after a hard day's work, he is the one who provides the watermelons at the Lawrence Co. Fair! There was an affection smile on both their faces!
Bud provided his time and his truck to haul a lot of items from far away to the Lawrence Co. Fairgrounds making it what it is today. He had an expectation that I drive his big cattle truck (making him perhaps the bravest man in Lawrence Co.) and I have always been appreciative of him for that opportunity.
My sympathy to all of Bud's family and friends.

My best times and memories of bud was out at 446 when he had his cook out for his family and friends.And the 2nd place would be at the fair grounds with his cows and grandkids...But was always good to me and made me laugh by the things he would say. Had not seen Bud for a while....maybe a year. I knew his health was failing but I never saw it in his demeanor.......always friendly & willing to spend some time. He was a good one! And another one of the guys that I was used to running into from time to time & always glad to see......he will be missed. I'm sorry for his friend's & family's loss.
