Obituary of Bob Masterson

Oolitic – Bob Masterson, 84, of Oolitic, died Friday, August 31, 2018 at his residence.

Born September 15, 1933, in Troy, IN, he was the son of Elmer and Celeste (Whittmer) Masterson. He married Sue Hubbs on July 31, 1954 and she survives. He held a master’s degree in education and retired as a teacher and coach in 1993. He was a member of the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church.

Survivors include his wife, Sue, of Oolitic; three sons, Kelly Masterson and wife, JoAnne, of Danville, IN, Kevin Masterson and wife, Denise, of Bedford, and Kyle Masterson and wife, Josi, of Indianapolis; two daughters, Terry Rogan and husband, Jim, of Bardstown, KY and Lynn Brinegar, of Bedford; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren; one sister, Helen Jean Kleeman, of Troy, IN. He was preceded in death by his parents, and a sister, Janice Champion.

In accordance with Bob’s wishes, cremation was chosen.  Memorial services will be conducted at 11:00 am on Wednesday, September 5^th at the St. Vincent de Paul Catholic Church. The family will receive friends from 9:30 am until the hour of service on Wednesday at the church.  In lieu of flowers the family asks that  friends consider memorial  contributions be made to Right to Life.
