I had the the privilege of working with and knowing Doyne for many years at GM. He always had a kind word and a bright smile for me. In my humble opinion he was a very kind man who had a lot of faith and was true to his word! I am very sorry for your loss.

I had the pleasure to work with Jonesy both in production and the toolroom. We had a very hard and hot job in production, but working beside Jonsey made it fun. He was always willing to help. He was a gentle, sweet man. I'll always remember his big laugh and beautiful smile. We had a lot of fun. When I retired he got me a special cake decorated with dogs because he knew I loved dogs. I was blessed to know him and now heaven is blessed to have him.

Jonesy was a great person who everyone liked. Jim enjoyed working with him and his friendship. We will always think about him when we pass his house.He didn’t like his yard mowed, we always thought about mowing it when he was gone, just for fun.

Although we are not blood related, Doyne called us "Mom & Dad Jones". :) Every time we saw him, he would tease us asking: "Where is my "Allowance Money?". The last thing he said to us as we were leaving the UAW monthly dinner meeting on July 16, 2018, was: "Where's my Allowance Money?" I told him: "The check is in the mail!" :) Doyne was a Christian, willing to help, faithful to his Lord and Saviour and a true friend........and, probably didn't have any enemies. You will be missed "Son". :)

We could always count on Doyne for prayer and fellowship at the Union functions, he was a good man and friend to all of us here at the Union Hall. I will miss him dearly.
